Feeling a bit out of place? Not sure exactly what you should be doing in the course? Why not read through this 'scaffolds and helpful hints' thread created in the discussion area. It won't suddenly generate readers for your blog or comments for your discussion post, but it will give you some good ideas on things to try to help you get involved. And remember - to get comments you have to give comments. If you're feeling a little lonely, get out there search for the PLENK2010 tag, read some posts, and make your mark.

by Sheila slbacon. I started this course to learn about the power of the Internet and social media tools to support me as a learner...and then apply that experience to work I am engaged in about 21st century literacy skills.
At first, I found the course very user-friendly...using Moodle and Elluminate Live were gentle experiences - with lots of repeated support. The Daily is a gentle reminder that there is an opportunity to engage and the links are provided to me again and again.

Goals and sub-goals as tags in blogposts in MOOC´s like PLENK2010 for following progress?

This school year I made a natural science course in Blogger for my students.I tagged the different posts (tasks) with the different goals for the course. This as an attempt to make the goals more clear for the students. And then I also made a tag cloud from the tags.But what if it instead was a MOOC like PLENK? And if the students had their own blog/portfolio/PLE with their own goals and sub-goals? And if they then tagged each of their posts with the proper goal(s)/sub-goal(s)? And then made a .... [Link]

I continue my studies on Evaluation in PLENK2010. I liked the JISC pages about assessment. Every educational institution should present their assessment principles in this way. I could recognize many perceptions I did while working as an online teacher. Assessment can be used to support learning rather than just test and certify achievement.
